U.S. District Court of Alaska Reappoints Magistrate Judge Matthew Scoble

Anchorage, Alaska –The U.S. District Court, District of Alaska, is pleased to announce the reappointment of Matthew Scoble to serve as a full-time United States Magistrate Judge with chambers at Anchorage, Alaska. The effective date of this reappointment is September 17, 2026. Judge Scoble has held this position since September 17, 2018.

Judge Scoble earned his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Davis and his J.D. from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law.

Judge Scoble is to hold and discharge the duties of a full-time U.S. Magistrate Judge for a term of eight (8) years from the date of his reappointment, subject to the provisions of 28 U.S.C. Section 631, unless sooner removed.
